__ USA for UNHCR – Sudan benefits Sudanese people displaced by war and its brutal horrors (famine, rapes, murders, etc.)
__ Kids in Need of Desks (KIND) benefits school children in Malawi.
The “Refuge” CD (which I recorded at Daywind Studios in Hendersonville, TN) features the following songs: O Holy Night, Come to Me, Finding My Way Back to You, Refuge (title cut with printed lyrics), I Just Want to Testify, Time Waits for No One, You Alone Are Worthy, I’m Going Home, He’s Always There, and We Shall Overcome (a civil rights anthem). I was thinking of my late maternal grandmother when I recorded this last song. My singing style has always been straightforward. During my teen years, I sang in the church choir and sometimes sang solos. It was my solos that evoked her “Honey, the meat was good, but where was the gravy?” She never heard me sing We Shall Overcome, but I like to think that I added a bit of “gravy” in her honor.
Excluding postage and handling costs, 100% of all CD sales will be donated to these organizations. You will get a receipt for your purchase.
